Our Fresh Osteochondral Graft Program is designed to offer a variety of allograft choices for joint reconstruction procedures to repair articular cartilage and subchondral bone defects. These osteochondral bio-implants allow orthopedic surgeons to transplant mature hyaline cartilage with viable chondrocytes and subchondral bone into recipients’ damaged articular surfaces.
LifeNet Health connects patients in need with life-saving organs and restorative tissues provided by selfless donors. Those gifts, combined with our pioneering regenerative medicine programs, support healing in Hampton Roads — and around the world.
LifeNet Health is featuring its portfolio of advanced fusion solutions at the North American Spine Society (NASS) Annual Meeting exhibition — booth 2311 — in Los Angeles, Calif., Sept. 26-28. Its highlighted biomaterials include the newly launched PliaFX® Prime moldable fibers, as well as the class-leading ViviGen®Cellular Bone Matrix.
More than 115,000 Americans are hoping for a life-saving organ transplant, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Millions of others around the world will need a tissue graft this year to help them heal from injury or recovery from disease. These patients need organ, tissue and eye donors to restore their health.
LifeNet Health’s LifeSciences Division created a human tissue and cell-based in vitro biology platform by leveraging its innovative technology-dr
LifeNet Health’s 3D HuBiogel™ supports the only fully-human, tissue-like bioassay system for accelerating preclinical research and drug development. Our proprietary cell culture technology replicates the biology and microenvironment of normal and diseased tissues ex vivo, and a series of high-throughput microtumor culture/assay systems offer rapid yet accurate efficacy evaluation of preclinical drug candidates and prediction of their potential toxicity.
The LifeSciences Division offers a range of services including:
Optimized use of primary human cells enables more reliable study of the functionality and interaction of organ systems, tissues, and cells. Timely access to the highest quality tissues allows for rapid isolation of primary cells for research. LifeNet Health is able to create new cell products according to customer requests and specifications.
LifeNet Health has access to organs and tissues from both normal and diseased donors to support research needs. There are increasing needs to meet the demand from researchers for high-quality, well-characterized tissues. This includes base materials, cells, and growth factors which can be derived from these research tissues. Our biospecimens support unmet needs at academic and research institutes, and pharmaceutical, reagent, and biotech companies.
